Sony S540 Walkman: speakers included

Scallies rejoice! The new Sony Walkman S540 packs in speakers, so you can blast out your favourite tunes on the bus or in public. But it’s a slick PMP too, with video playback and the typical epic battery life you get on a Walkman. Want more? Then read on. Blasting out tunes in public is one of the modern day PMP’s more infuriating aspects. But the new Sony S540 Walkman is all about cranking out the tunes rather than keeping them locked up in your headphones. Rocking Clear Stereo and Clear Ba(Click Here to Know More)

Most of the time now, I listen to music on the web and don’t have any need to download it. My laptop benefits the most from this inclination since it’s not weighed down by music f(Click Here to Know More)

The not-so-soft bigotry of Amy Goodman

I am so sick of Amy Goodman. We know she doesn't give a damn about Iraq. But Human Rights Watch releases a report on the targeting of Iraq's LGBT community and it's news -- it's news especially if you've never covered the topic before. And she hasn't. In fact, Pacifica Radio ignored the targeting when the New York Times , when the BBC, when ABC news and so many other outlets were reporting on this in April. But Amy Goodman didn't have time and you have to ask yourself how damn sick is New(Click Here to Know More)

AMP3: Zoom Q3 might just be the best mobile audio recorder…

I demand good tech in the gadgets I buy. Generally I get it right, and pick up gadgets that excel in one or many areas - occasionally I get it wrong, and I’ve a cupboard in the office that acts as a tech-graveyard for those items that didn’t fulfill their primary purpose, or perform well overall. The Zoom Q3 I think is going to fall in the former category of great mobile gadgets - it’s basically an awesomely good audio recorder, which happens to double as a pretty decent mini-camcorder too!(Click Here to Know More)

Music Labels to Launch Digital Album Format: CMX

Genius. Absolutely genius. That’s what I would call the new album-selling plan from the major music labels… if I was a complete idiot. Or maybe I’m over-reacting. I don’t know. HTC Hero review

Straight off the back of my HTC Magic review, and earlier than expected, Matt called to announce we have one of only 2 HTC Hero handsets in the country but we haven’t got it for long, as apparently it’s quite popular already. How will it stack up against the Magic? I was pleased overall with the Magic and would have been tempted to buy one if it wasn’t for the Samsung Galaxy and Hero due to be released, so was the wait worth it? Please Please Me - The Beatles Debut Album on CD in Remastered Mono & Stereo

By Jackson Weinheimer March 22, 1963 To really get an understand of how exciting Please Please Me was when it was released in the UK on March 22nd of 1963 you have to think about the kind of music that was being played on the radio at that time. While it may sound quite tame to our ears 46 years later, this was definitely "rock n roll" in '63 and far more "hard" than just about anything else out at the time. Michael Giltz: DVDs -- "Life On Mars" And Those Clever Brits

I can't help romanticizing the British TV industry. We often see only the best of the best of British telly so it seems remarkably high in quality. Plus, the way their industry developed, many shows only have to produce six or eight episodes at a time, take a break and then -- if they want -- create six more. Take The Office -- one of the best sitcoms of all time, full stop. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant did six episodes, took a long holiday, did six more, called it a day and then did tw(Click Here to Know More)
